ดินควบ คือสันหลังคาที่ทำมาจากดินเผา มีลักษณะเป็นทรงสามเหลี่ยม มีทั้งแบบ 35 องศา และ 45 องศา ตามความลาดชันของหลังคา ใช้สำหรับครอบกระเบื้องมุงหลังคาให้แน่น ไม่หลุดออก และป้องกันน้ำซึมเข้าไปในร่องสันหลังคา ในอดีตหากไม่ใช้ดินควบหลังคาก็อาจปั้นสันหลังคาด้วยปูนแทนก็ได้

Din khuab (literally “soil merge”) is a roof ridge made from fired clay. It has a triangular shape with a 35- or 45-degree angle, depending on the slope of the roof. It is used to tightly cover the shingles so they won’t slip off the roof. It also prevents water from seeping through the roof. In the past, if a home did not have a din khuab, it might have used a roof ridge sculpted from lime instead.
